Dr. Dougbeh Christopher Nyan is a Liberian medical doctor, biomedical research scientist, inventor and social activist. He holds a degree in human-medicine from the Medizinische Fakultät (Charité) der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin in Germany. Dr. Nyan has expertise in infections disease research, and worked as scientist at the National Institutes of Health and the Food and Drug Administration in the USA. He is the inventor of the Nyan-Test, a rapid multiplex test that detects and identifies multiple infections in less than an hour. Dr. Nyan is the winner of the 2017 African Innovation Special Prize for Social Impact and Life time Achievement Award in Science Research in Medicine from the Ward Educational Fund. He is currently chief scientific officer of Shufflex Biomed.
