
Uta-Micaela Dürig (born 1964) is Vice Chair of the Board of Management at the Robert Bosch Stiftung. As of September 1, 2017 she is responsible for the four topic areas health, science and research, society and education. She is also responsible for the project “Education Sub-Saharan Africa” (ESSA).
After graduating from high school, she completed a classic course of training as a newspaper journalist. At the same time, she studied at the Institute of Communication Theory of the Free University of Berlin and graduated in 1992. After holding several positions at daily newspapers, Ms. Dürig worked for the government of Berlin after the fall of the Berlin Wall. She also has more than 20 years of experience in leading positions of major companies such as ABB AG, RWE AG and Robert Bosch Company, where she was in charge of corporate communications, marketing communications, public affairs and sustainability.
Ms. Dürig is married and has a daughter.
