Ngalula Sandrine Mubenga

Dr. Ngalula Sandrine Mubenga is passionate about finding renewable energy solutions so people can better their lives. She is currently teaching as a tenure track faculty at the College of Engineering at the University of Toledo where she researches a Bilevel equalizer for Li-ion batteries. For her masters degree, she hybridized an electric vehicle by integrating a fuel cell. Mrs. Mubenga is a registered Professional Engineer(Ohio). Since 2011, she is the founder and CEO of SMIN Power Group, a company that designs and installs renewable energy systems in USA and DRC.

Since 2017, she is a Member of the Board of Directors at the Société Nationale d’ Eléctricité (DRC). She chaired the 2017 IEEE PES & IAS PowerAfrica Conference. She received the 2017 Continental Award for Manufacturing and Engineering Sector - Africa Most Influential Women in Business (CEO Magazine), and the 2010 IEEE Toledo Young Engineer of the Year Award.
